The RP International Conference 2008

Posted by Michael Dewalt

The Reformed Presbyterian Conference (held every four years) took place over a seven-day span at Calvin College in Grand Rapids, MI. The theme of the conference was “Meeting Christ in Life.” It consisted of a number of events throughout the week for (namely) families to enjoy, and it focused on daily aspects like: Meeting Christ at the Mercy Seat, Meeting Christ in Worship, Meeting Christ in the Lord’s Supper, Meeting Christ in Affliction, and Meeting Christ in Glory.

The conference focused not only on a time of studying the Scriptures, but was a week of enjoyment in which I personally got to see families and friends having times of fun and fellowship with one another. The events included activities that reached out to all ages – from nursery level and grade school, to high school and college, to adults. These events ranged from a number of sporting events to sessions for men and women on topics such as: missions, theology, ministry, family, children, worship, and many more areas in dealing with the Reformed faith.

RHB was happy to be able to sell a number of books while attending this conference. From worship and Psalm-singing books to Dutch Reformed and Scottish Presbyterians books. Some of the top sellers that seemed to be of interest at the conference that you – our blog readers – may want to check out are: Meet the Puritans, Reformation Heroes, The Book of Psalms for Singing, The Federal Vision and Covenant Theology, and of course The History of the Reformed Presbyterian Church in America.

  1. I don’t know if you are interested or not, but a while back I did a review of ‘Meet the Puritans’ on Puritanismtoday: http://puritanismtoday.wordpress.com/2007/03/08/%e2%80%98meet-the-puritans%e2%80%99-a-review/
